Who makes the best one out there? Any reviews on the Primos SCAR buck decoy?

Looking for the same thing everybody else is. Realistic, light, packs away nicely for easy transport, etc.

That is the decoy I have. I’ve not had a buck come rushing into him yet, but he also hasn’t scared any bucks off. Some of the does will skirt him a bit, but I’m sure that is solely because I only use him during rut, when they are sick of getting chased around. When I say skirt, I mean by 10-15 yards. The only “negative” with this decoy is how the head attaches to the body. It can be a bit of a pain in the pitch black of the AM setting him up.

We have had pretty good success out in SD during the rut with decoys and I’m a believer in them.

We have been playing around with just hanging the head part of the buck on tree using a tree step. (That is if there are trees around) Seems to work about as well as using the whole body and you don’t have to carry the whole thing around. I think they lock in on the head and don’t even realize there isn’t a body there?
