I’ve been experimenting with these for a bit now, and they’ve been working pretty well for the most part. The advantage, for myself and anyone else with most Android Smart phones, is that you have a micro-SD slot onboard. This Sunday night, I was able to go up to a trail camera, pull the card, put it in my phone, and see what came by the previous night while waiting in my stand for things to cool down and the hunt to unfold. I usually have my phone with, and then don’t have to bring a separate card-reader. That, and an 8Gb micro card with adapter sells for about $5.25 on Amazon.
Currently, the micro-SD cards (inside a standard SD adapter) have worked with the following cameras:
-Covert Reveal Cameras
-Bushnell 8MP Trophy Cameras
The system shows some promise. I might be changing over most of my cards to have the added flexibility.
