Lots of deer moving tonight, nice doe snuck up on me and I was not ready not able to get a shot. Also had the guy in the pic come thru one of my lanes but he is not what I am looking for.

This mornings action was steady! One lil fork horn, lil button buck and 4 does! Don’t think the bucks are running real hard yet! Have not seen a buck following a doe yet! Kinda disappointed! It can only get better right?

Back at it again! Set up in natural funnel between three big woods! Gonna try some rattleing this evening!

Watching a coyote trying to get a squirrel breakfast, wish I could get a clear shot at him.

Nice night, buck pee in the scrape, doe pee on a wick and a cool north breese. Hoping this happens by the weekend

This will be my 5th consecutive full day sit on Halloween…but my first in BC! Saw 5 already but no shooters. Love this day in the woods

I went out glassing last night for the last 30 mins of legal shooting light and saw 20-25 does/fawns. I went out this a.m. and saw a couple from the road around 7:45. I haven’t hunted in any of my areas since shooting Tank on 9/17. I have only seen one buck in the last 3-4 weeks from the road.

Keep the action coming guys. Sitting still in the office today is hard.

Just sat down in my stand and I hear a dog yapping, 2 minutes later the commotion starts, two dogs ran all the deer in the woods right past my stand. Just as it starts to calm down a flippen coyote comes running in from the other direction SOB I wish I had my shot gun and some buckshot. All this and its still dark. Quess I’m not going to get the big one before I head north, sure hope he is still around when I get back Did i mention I’m P.O. right now

Well they didn’t chase everything out, the yapping started again and they chased two coyotes by, after missing those I got down to go find the owners of these muts and they circled around and chased another doe by, this time I almost got run over. Is it legal to shoot a dog on your land, not that they would find them if I do.

Personally, I don’t hesitate to shoot roaming dogs if I don’t know who owns them.

Just got settled in for an all day sit. Freshly picked corn as of last night! I kicked up a 6 pt on the way in. Hoping to catch a buck cruising through this huge funnel before dark!

Well I’ve been at it since dark. So far I have had a doe come through, one unknown, one chase down in the bottom and I rattled in a little guy around noon. Setup on an oak ridge 75 yds from a freshly picked bean field. Have a fresh rub and scrape to the north and a fresh scrape to the south. Have several pics of Stickers near this stand so that’s what I’m hoping for

Took the day off work to sit in the stand. Pretty slow so far, but the activity has exploded the last few days on the cameras. Hoping things will be picking up as sunset nears

Noo! Just had a shooter at 45 and couldn’t get a shot due to window on box blind. I was playing it patient and waiting for him to step into my window to release. After a bit I finally let down and stretched a bit to look, he had turned and went to freahin a scrape on side of the food plot.

Only 2 does so far this morning. Sounds like an absolute war zone all around.

Well first morning of gun season and it’s been slow. So far, only 2 does and a fork horn buck. Maybe we will see a bigger buck this afternoon.

Been in the stand since 230. Deer everywhere this afternoon. Just finally got to sit down for a second. Saw one buck right away running does a ways off that appeared to be decent. Didn’t get too long of a look though. Hopefully this is the night

Back in MN for the gun opener. As usual the shooting is nonstop a couple of Dink bucks chasing does. I spent most of last week in Wis. Seems that I have gotten spoiled passed several good bucks. Can’t wait to be back in bc. We have a couple of dandy bucks over there with my name on them

Joel…..when you were hunting turkeys this spring did you happen to see a Tom breeding a red headed woodpecker? I swear that the 2 that I have in front of me are the size of a hen Turkey

So bummed out right now. Just had a pig 9 chasin a doe and he stoped at edge of plot, 35 yards out, behind the last branch to clear! Minute later she’ spins and runs back into trees and he turned and went with her. So wish I had a gun, I’d be on cloud 9 having a party

Set up over one of our 10 food plots. I think I just put the hammer down on a decent buck! We will give it an hour and go check. A doe and a fawn just walked through and the fawn had full spots on her. Looked like she was only 2 weeks old.

In a stand that I have named “the waiting game” stand. I have spent countless days here with little to no action. But I have also shot my 3 biggest deer here. So I pull my bow up at 550 and turn around to see a little buck staring right at me

    Congrats!

Two does and 3 yotes so far. Just wizzed an arrow at one yote jogging across the clover. Perfect height, just needed to lead him a touch more.
