Haha. I made the mistake in the last one by having the windows too low. My back got awful sore bending down to glass last year. Fixed that problem! I’m part farmer genius….

    Kooty,

I wish I had a deer on camera that was causing sleepless nights! I know they are around, I just haven’t seen them yet. Last year at this time I was 2 months into sleepless nights already!

The kids each painted an initial on a side and we put G&G on the door.

Allyson, Samanatha, Jocelyn and Grandpa & Grandma. It was a fun garage project this spring. I’m going to build one more this winter/spring. After that, we’ll see if we need anymore.

The lack of trees makes it really tough. But the deer don’t care about these blinds at all. They are used to farm equipment and everything else sitting around out there.

Good looking blind in some good looking country right there! I think your going to really like that blind come November when those South Dakota winds are howling

I guarantee you will be building more once you use it. I built this for my Dad a few years back. Used it myself in the muzzy season and ended up building 4 more. They are soo nice when it blowing, raining, snow, or just darn cold. Both dad and I have shot our biggest deer out of the box blinds.

We built one two years ago out and it literally spoiled me last year. Like you said, I’m sure we’ll want more….

BTW, I do this for my Dad…. He is diabetic and can’t take the cold very well. That’s my excuse and I’m stickin’ to it.

    Tick, Tock!!!!

Anyone else chomping at the bit? I can’t hunt the opening weekend in SD due to work conflicts. So now I have to wait even longer.

Well, only 5 days of work this week then it’s time to get in the woods. I spent last weekend up north with Big G, Bob Bergeson and Todd Hansen. Got to help drag a bear out of the woods and just enjoy some time with good friends. I can’t wait to return next weekend!
