This little guy showed up with mom the beginning of Nov. and judging by his size I would say that he was born late Aug/Sept. My first thoughts were coyote bait because of his size and I did not get anymore pics of him. Then another set of pics just before Xmas(never seen a spotted fawn with winter coat),he had grown but was still in my mind coyote bait. My wife was coming home the beginning of Febuary from work and the little guy ran across the rd in from of her, still had some visible spots.I found out from a neighbor that another neighbor a 1/2 mile away had the little guy basically living around her deck and in with their horses January on and he did make it through. The wonders of Mother Nature is truely amazing.

My dad spotted one last August that he swears was no more than 1-3 days old. I can see yearling does coming into heat late getting bred, but in May?? Wow. Mothernature sure shows us some strange things.

Two years ago we seen a spotted fawn during the second gun season in MN. It is very strange how nature throws a loop in the system here and there, but sometimes it pans out and life finds a way!
