It actually was a pretty nice little boat. As you saw I was in some decent wind gusts during the filming and the boat was easy to handle. Storage was decent and this particular boat, powered with the 115 yamaha, popped up out of the hole and handled well.

On the “didn’t like” side of things the bow sat up a little high for my tastes but maybe some of that could have been remedied with some redistribution of weight.

Overall it very much reminded me of a 1750 fishhawk in layout and handling.

Received this in a text message today. Rumor has it the horns rough score 214″. If the text is correct it was found by a farmer in Iowa.

Sorry about the pic, but if I hear anymore I will update.

Mass diameter is that of a soda, pop or beer can.

It’s because people don’t bother with real cameras anymore and take every picture with their phones. Picture quality has gone down drastically in the last few years I think.

Believe it or not About a month ago My friend Jerry told me about an 8 pointer that was even bigger then this one that was taken just north of here. Jerry said he’d try to get pictures and he said green scored, it approached or broke as a new worlds record. He hasen’t sent me any pics but Jerry don’t bull roar. Maybe this is the one but when he told me it didn’t sound like it was that far north where this one was found, this one is from the minnesota border area.

Heres a couple more. It was found dead before shotgun season in fayette county Iowa. The deer had been dead for quite some time because it looked just as it does in the pick when found with just a couple chew marks on it.
