With this unseasonably warm weather we are having down this way, I thought I would go give it a try again ‘ONE LAST TIME’ today. 
So got up my normal 0530, grabbed a little breakfast and a coffee…
Headed out, and absolutely NOTHING was moving this morning, not even a squirrel, or any geese flying. Came back to the house and hauled up some wood for the week, had lunch, looked at the barometer. It has been really dropping. So told the FW I was going out again. I was out in my ‘other’ stand by 1330, and with in 20 minutes I had deer all over the place, yet none offed up a shot. Bucks, Does, Does, Bucks..would just one of ya come over here!
Finally about 1530, of all the deer, here comes in a yearling. (Mind you we have ‘way’ to many deer in this neighborhood, and my neighbors, knowing I like to hunt, many have requested some ‘veni’ should I get to opportunity.) Came right by me quartering away, but even after giving the ‘baa’ call, it only paused a second, so I let go
. Not my best hit of the year, but I let ‘er sit about an hour and a half, and walked in and drug ‘er out to the truck where my son helped me load ‘er up…called our friend and told them, “you got ‘veal-veni”! They are extremely grateful. (sorry, no pix’s)
So that brought the end to my season for this year. Rewarding, Successful, Fruitful, and Safe. Thank you Lord
