Old or young?

    So this buck decides to show up around one of my favorite stands this year… I got pictures of him last year when he was a half rack in velvet, and the side he had looked exactly the same. My question is how old do you think this deer is? I got him on film this summer in a field about 2 miles away from where the pics were taken. What worries me is his tines are all so short and he doesn’t really have any mass to speak of… Any help?

    I would also bet on 2 years old. There are many characteristics that show him younger like his belly and back but the main giveaway of this deers anatomy that looks young is the porportion of his legs to his body. Looks like he will be a good deer next year and I would think awesome in 2! Nothing to worry about, just needs some time.
