For those who don’t know Dean, the rod in his left hand is a 7’er

I would love to give that a try. What reel do you recomend putting on those Dean?

As far as reels go..totally a personal choice.I normally run Sealine 17 for hardline or mono, and Sealine 47 for leadline. The big open water folks will typically go up one size on both reels for those applications.

Pulled a bunch of camera cards today after my sit. The last several weeks I have been trying to back track, from night photos, to where some of the bucks on my property have been during daylight. This pull I finally got two ‘shooting time’ glimpses of the #2 deer on my hit list this year. These are the only two daylight photos/encounters I have so far this year of deer #1-3. We tend to have a very nocturnal pattern here, however, with high temps and winds during the ‘normal rut dates,’ all our bucks were showing up between 1130pm-4am. Turns out I had figured close, just not precise. Last Wed I hunted the same stand and time he passed on Thurs, and Sat night I hunted the same time and blind he passed Sun night Almost exactly 24 hours off both days Talk about a kick to the shin

Best of luck on him, it will get good when it gets cold!

That’s the worst part about traild cams. Best of luck, it should just get better as it cools off and the deer start fattening up.
