    I’ll be heading South in Wisconsin to hunt near Livingston. There’s a booner on the property adjacent… hope he chases a doe right by me

    Will be hunting west of Madison in far western Dane county. I will be perched high in the same tree that gave me opportunities at mature bucks the last two bow seasons!

    Not over it but about a mile from it as the crow flies. You must be a trout fisherman to know about it!

    Had one of my best days there in my early trout career. Found out just west of Madison wasn’t open for early spring trout until you got to Iowa county. Didn’t get caught, but sure felt bad for one of the highlight days you might ever get on a trout stream.

    I’m excited to get out again this year. Even more excited that my oldest daughter is joining me. Not so much in the field, but she wants to go to deer camp. I’ll be sure to get her out for an afternoon sit or two. Buffalo County for us!

    Good luck to everyone and enjoy everything about the season! To me, being with friends, and this year family, is what it is all about!

    The deer are just a bonus!

    I’ll be hunting close to home in Jackson County on opening day. Sitting on my deck on sunday then take a nap and back to work….not much of a rifle hunter anyway. I’m excited to break out the front stuffer. Good luck all and be safe out there
