Depending on the wind direction and available cover, do you have an opportunity to close the distance? Belly crawl slowly and see if you can get a little closer. If not, then maybe wait it out. I don’t hunt with a slug gun, but 150 yds seems a long way and if you shoot now and miss it is all over. Tough situation to be in. Good luck!!!!! Hope to see pictures soon

Only you know your effective range!
My therory is that they can not poop or pee laying down, so they eventually need to stand up. If they stand without being spooked, you’ll most likely get the best opportunity for a clean shot.

    X2!
Had a buck bed down about 50 yards away the other day and he stood up once an hour so I would stay tight and wait for your opportunity.

Get to a comfortable range. Only you know where that is from your practice then wait them out. They will stand.

WHat’s the status of this thing?? If you’re still laying there sooner or later YOU”RE the one that’s going to need to stand to poop or pee! Good luck!

150 is a poke with a shot gun I would try to close the distance. Be patient they will stand at some point before dark ! Good luck !
