    Thanks Kooty…the rest of my message got cut off.

    Came through sniffing for does at about 8:15am. Shot him at 35 yards. Arrow hit the far elbow and stopped – just one hole. Blood trail was unreal. Grim Reaper expandable did a nice job. Only went 50 yards.

    flatfish, you are correct about the “trashy” woods. It’s very thick in the dry creek bottom where I shot him. However, I got lucky as he stopped broadside in a natural clear area. I still had to shoot over one set of branches and under another, but it wasn’t a total circus shot. Could have been way more sketchy.
