Went out this weekend and hunted Saturday and Sunday. Normally this time of year I am covered up in deer movement of good bucks. We have tons of good bucks on the cameras but only saw two does and three fawns. Normally I see that many in the first couple hours easily. Where are all the bucks? Didn’t even see the 3.5 year olds like we usually see running around. Just not happening for us in buffalo county yet. Can’t wait to get out there again this weekend! Good luck guys!

My honest opinion is things will rock and roll right around the 5th. I’m seeing the same around here I think its running just a little behind. I’m just now seeing scraping action and little guys cruising.

Yep, last year this time I was also covered in 140-150 bucks responding to horns, grunt calls or whatever else i threw at them. This year, although I havent been able to sit in stand as much has given me a total of zero shooters and just a couple youngns pop up here and there. I also think its just a little behind in my area. The scrapes have just now started to pick up and I think and hope that this weekend will be productive.

Totally agree, I have seen scraping and thats it. no chasing or anything. I think (hope) in a few days things will change.

I was at my farm in Richland county Oct 24-28. I saw two bucks sparring a little, but nothing aggressive. 4 bucks, including the most dominate buck around, were all bedding up yet together. Scrapes were starting, but not worked up very much. More activity on licking sticks still.
