Sorry to hear you need to get rid of her.English Setters are very nice dogs and loving. I have a male that is ready to breed her if that’s what the new owners would want to do. Please help Jager find a new home. Oh yeah….They are great bird hunters too!

How old is she and why are you getting rid of her? Is she good with kids? and is she trained to hunt????
Thanks
BradyJuly 31, 2008 at 5:52 pm #702728more on the dog. she is 5 years old, has great blood lines for hunting but has never hunted, is great with kids. and the reason for letting go is another child on the way and the dog doe snot have enough space in the yard and again “is not house trained”.

October 14, 2011 at 2:02 am #202733I am pretty sure if I shot the world record I couldn’t be more excited at what happened during the youth hunt. Some of you may remember my hunting partner last year. She is now my 11 year old daughter Tia. This is her second year in the youth hunt. I hunted with her Saturday morning but we did not see any deer, that is until we walked back out to the truck. In the afternoon she was slated to hunt with my brother Roger Martin. I set them up on a travel route between my neighbors corn and my food plots.
Enter my 10 year old son Aaron. He wasn’t able to join us in the morning due to his football game. Aaron is the best 10 year old defensive end around. I was to be his mentor that night on one of our food plots. The plot I have gotten pictures of a buck we call Trip. More of that in another post.
The four of us set out around 4:00 that afternoon. With the heat that day none of us was too excited about our prospects but the kids were excited to get in the woods. There is nothing like being with an excited kid.
We all settled in to our blinds by 4:30 and began our watch. Things were quiet until about 5:50 when a nice yearling doe stepped out in front of Aaron and I. It surprised us like they always do when you don’t expect them. I urged Aaron to slowly get ready. The doe was facing us as it worked in to 20 yards. As Aaron took aim a shot rang out from Tia’s direction. All I could think was if this doe takes off he will never forgive her. Luck was on our side as the doe turned broadside. I turned my attention to Aaron and to his credit he was still concentrating on the doe and squeezed the trigger. The doe reared up and bolted from the food plot. I stuck my head out of the blind to follow her escape but she piled up after about a 70 yard sprint. One deer down as I then turned my attention back to my radio. My brother was calling asking what happened. He said I better get down there Tia just shot her first buck. I let out a whoop like you never heard. The proudest day of my life. My two oldest just killed their first deer 5 seconds apart. What an awesome night. The pictures tell the rest of the story.

What a great way to spend quality time. My hat is off to you!
October 14, 2011 at 1:58 pm #112324Congrats! that is a memory to last a life time, for all three of you. I have 2 boys (7 & 9) that I’m trying to plant the hunting/fishing bug but so far they don’t seem to share the curiosity/passion I did at their age. I’m hoping to have an experience like yours someday. Enjoy!
October 14, 2011 at 3:57 pm #112340Awesome!!! Congrats to the three of you. A memory that will last forever!!
