Im assuming when the scent lok guy says forget the wind just hunt He meant direction and not mph

    Pat:

At that wind speed I am sure he doesn’t think your scent will make it into a deer’s nose…

No action yet but wow what a morning. For a guy who normally watches the sun rise on my way to work or from the office window, there is nothing better than an October sunrise from a bow stand!!!

Last nights sit was another perfect night in stand. The buck activity is really starting to get up and go from the time you get in the tree until dark. At 5:15 while watching a 1 1/2 old smaller doe work her way to me I had a very very tall and heavy racked buck come out that was a absolute bruiser!!!! We have never caught a glimpse of this buck ever from this stand that we know of. He was well over 200 yds out walking a ravine from one woods to another quickly. Put me on high alert and I passed on several does after seeing him up and moving. 20 minutes before dark in the CRP grass I had 3 does and 4 fawns come strolling across and up the hillside into the corn field. It was not 5 minutes and here comes another toad right on the same trail scattering the does the second they saw him coming and he passed to my east 100 yds. What a blast last night was minus not getting any shots ,but the fun is really starting to fire up! Stuck in the office until noon today though be back out early afternoon with rattle bag in hand! Here are a couple does that got the free pass last night.

Had a huge doe with a bad limp within 30 yards before 2 1/2 chased her away. Now the squirrels and turkeys are making there presence known! Beautiful morning to be in a stand!
