Well I am sitting overlooking some beans and corn. There is fresh snow on the ground and I am hoping my buck shows his horns tonight.
love the cold and snow this is the spot where I shot the split g-3 Buck last year
hopefully the j hook 10 shows soon I’m running out of time
4 inches of fresh powder. Sitting in a ground blind with standing corn and beans to my north, radishes and turnips to me south. One scrub buck so far…. Playing the waiting game with the big guys.
Nice fresh snow. 22 degrees. Saw 5 bucks. 6 does and a coyote here lastnight. Hopefully a good one steps out tonight.
Just sitting here tonight chilled to the bone …wondering if I was dropped on my head when I was a kid what kind of person would do this 5-7 days a week for 3 months I have passed more than 30 different bucks. Some of them many times. I guess I won’t be happy untill one of my hit list bucks show up
Last chance to fill my gun tag tonight. In the tree an hour and already seen deer on the move.
Had a deer waiting for me when I got here Hope it comes back with friends
Should have walked the extra 60 yds to the next stand. Nice buck just walked under it. no shot!
Nice to see a few hardcore hunters stiil out! I’m in set up over looking both corn and bean’s tonight. Looks like a barnyard! Tracks everywhere
I’m out as well! deer got the best of me last night! hopefully one makes fatal mistake tonight!
Was covered up ! Had a doe with a weird hair deal on it’s neck at 8 yards but her 4 friends wouldn’t allow me to turn and shoot her
Great night! Cold snow and sunshine got TOP HEAVY set up on a new buck hopefully the killer can put the big boy down tonight
out tonight with the bro! setup on alfalfa field! been twenty plus deer a night!
Set up just Alittle bit closer to the bedding area tonight. Cold and windy, hopefully they move early
He’s back over 11 months but he finally showed! Game on I need to get my winter boots out! Toes feel like someone hit them with a hammer
-11 when I shut the truck off. Got a good view of the upcoming lunar eclipse. Hope to put a doe on the ground asap! There were 11 on the food plot on the way in. Think I give another update after I am home sipping on coffee. BBBRRRRR!
Good luck! My wife left the house at 5AM to stand in line at Toys R Us. I was kind of hoping it’s really cold out. Funny part is, it’s not even for our family. It’s something my sister wants for her kids. Women are crazy.
Wow -11 is cold. Sunny and a balmy 6 degrees here. Not sure why this is the 10th out of 11 consecutive morning sets this fall that the wind has blown out of the south. The other day it was out of the northwest which is much more typical this time of year. Odd season for sure….big doe and two fawns thus far
Here is a couple pics from yesterdays sit, fist one is just a view when I was on my way to my stand. The second is the standing corn plot I was sitting over.
The text my wife sent me this morning read… ” it’s 13 below here! Why are you hunting?” I replied “cuz I’m crazy” by the way… best sit since monday of rifle season. 2 shooters within 15 yds! 13 deer in 3.5 hrs and 5 more points for the team!
bbbrrrr… Kudos to you guys that are sitting out there. It was 4 degrees this morning when I went into the garage to start prepping fur to take in for selling. Green pelts were freezing up and my wife had to endure another day of stink’n pelts in the house
Sitting overlooking standing corn. Somewhat warmer than yesterday but the wind has picked up
out for the evening! set up on same alfalfa field as other night just a bit closer to where deer came from! time
Just got a text ..wild thang is covered up with deer she’s going to wait until last light for a buck to show if not it looks like a doe will be going down
