4 inches of fresh powder. Sitting in a ground blind with standing corn and beans to my north, radishes and turnips to me south. One scrub buck so far…. Playing the waiting game with the big guys.

Just sitting here tonight chilled to the bone …wondering if I was dropped on my head when I was a kid what kind of person would do this 5-7 days a week for 3 months I have passed more than 30 different bucks. Some of them many times. I guess I won’t be happy untill one of my hit list bucks show up

-11 when I shut the truck off. Got a good view of the upcoming lunar eclipse. Hope to put a doe on the ground asap! There were 11 on the food plot on the way in. Think I give another update after I am home sipping on coffee. BBBRRRRR!

Good luck! My wife left the house at 5AM to stand in line at Toys R Us. I was kind of hoping it’s really cold out. Funny part is, it’s not even for our family. It’s something my sister wants for her kids. Women are crazy.

Wow -11 is cold. Sunny and a balmy 6 degrees here. Not sure why this is the 10th out of 11 consecutive morning sets this fall that the wind has blown out of the south. The other day it was out of the northwest which is much more typical this time of year. Odd season for sure….big doe and two fawns thus far

The text my wife sent me this morning read… ” it’s 13 below here! Why are you hunting?” I replied “cuz I’m crazy” by the way… best sit since monday of rifle season. 2 shooters within 15 yds! 13 deer in 3.5 hrs and 5 more points for the team!

bbbrrrr… Kudos to you guys that are sitting out there. It was 4 degrees this morning when I went into the garage to start prepping fur to take in for selling. Green pelts were freezing up and my wife had to endure another day of stink’n pelts in the house
