scrapes 101

a few mock scrape questions here as I have never really made one before. never thought it would help much as I only hunt the gun season but I’m thinking of trying one for my daughters youth hunt this year Oct.8&9 here are my questions, any certain products anyone is particulary fond of, how long before the season to make one and how often to refresh and does everyone scent the branch too or just the ground

Licking branches/ mock scrapes

I have had great luck with mock scrapes similar to what Bob describes. I would give it a shot for sure and they will also work for you during gun season as well!
