Countdown Begins - Deer Hunting - Deer Hunting

Been gone from the site awhile…… but a quick update as to how things are going. Got back home this morning at 4 after hanging some stands and glassing one of our farms in North Dakota. Saw some really good signs. No big boys yet but we just lined this farm up and saw some shooters one alfafa field over..so mineral is out with cameras and we are hoping to pull some of them across the river. Did see a couple 1.5 yr olds and a 115″ ten in the one afternoon we had to be there.
We were able to also get to Missouri towards the end of August to hang our stands and put more mineral out and cameras. Will be there opening weekend so praying that their current heat wave will be past. Had some great bucks make it through the season last year so it will be exciting to pull cameras the first time.
Minnesota has been the toughest for me thus far. I know on my property of some decent bucks that made it through last years season but cant seem to find them….lots of 1.5 and a few 2.5 roaming around but the big boys continue to stay hidden. Some buddies have great bucks on camera already so maybe I will be in the the tree filming them if I have nothing going for early season.
Sleep is getting limited as im excited for Sept to roll around
Sept 2-5 will be North Dakota
Sept 10-11 is unknown ….good be MN goose hunting or back out west
Sept 16-18 will be in Missouri
Rest of fall will be scattered….i can only look ahead so many weeks at a time
