Saw on the news last night. Surprised no comments on here yet. I see the kill zone being expanded if this deer comes back positive.

Something that most people do not know is that the doe from last fall that was found with the CWD was 13 years old, wild deer do not live to 13 years old. That doe was a pen raised deer got loose.

Why can’t deer live to 13 in the wild? People don’t live to be one hundred very often either but on occasion.
Do you have proof that the deer was pen raised.

Unless it was tagged we will never know. New news to me that it was a pen raised doe.

    My guess
The Whitetail deer life expectancy is up to 15 years, but the average is 2 years for males and 3 years for females in the wild.

    Whatsa

Any results yet on this deer? It takes 3 days to complete the test correct? Or is the DNR going to wait 2 months to let us know again

Did they say it there was any reason for the deer to be acting that way?

Busch Light. I’ve watched GMAN do the same thing a 100 times.

Is there an official report or something that says it was negative? Just like to know for sure before I get my hopes up.

The story I saw on news said possible encephalitis and they were going to do more tests including west nile. But not CWD.
