Searching for a new Trail Cam

I’m looking for a new trail camera fleet. I have used 3 different brands over the years religously and am frankly fed up.

What are you using with good success? Problems that I am having with my cams are longevity. I want a camera that will last for more than a year. I also want good night time pictures and last but not least good quality pics that can snap a good pic of a moving deer and capture that image clearly. Would like to spend under 150 for each camera. Is this possible?

I really like my scoutgards. I went a whole season on the same set of batteries. Good nighttime pics and one of the fastest responce times in the industry.

I have a number of different brands, but my favorites are the DLC Covert’s. They just came out with a number of new styles and they have 3 under 150.

I’ve purchased this past year a Moultrie and Bushnell to go with my Wildgame Innovation camera and the Wildgame Innovation continues to be the better camera. I’ve used all 3 of them in cold weather and when the Bushnell and Moultrie go into sleep mode they never turn back on! For the $$ they just can’t be beat!

Same here. I’ve only had my scoutguards for one season but they’ve done really well for me and take a real high quality photo.

I’ve used a moultrie i40 since 2007 and it has worked well but need another camera and want something smaller. The scoutguards seem to be just about what I am looking for. I’m used to having a readout for the % of battery left, but on the scoutguards, there is just a low battery indicator. Once the low battery indicator lights up, how long will it be until the batteries are dead? And/Or how many pics are left to be taken?

Also, how well does the remote viewer work? I’m looking at the 560V or 570V potentially.

The remote viewer is pretty small but you can check it in the field. As far as Battery level the remote tells you what your level is. In picture mode I change the batteries once a year. If you use video mode in cold weather you will probably only get about 1000 10 sec. video’s before you need batteries.

The new Little Acorn is getting rave reviews! I cannot recall who makes it right now.
