My favorite stand on the little piece of paradise that my family farms. The stand where I’ve shot two of my better bucks; nearly identical split-G2 trophies during Iowa’s early muzzleloader season, two Octobers in a row. The stand where I’ve literally watched thousands of deer stroll by on their way out to feed in the field corner; where I’ve watched tremendous bucks slip through the expansive prairie grass field out in front of me; where I’ve spent hundreds of hours dreaming and reliving memories of times spent with my grandfather walking these fields.

And with the season now winding down to an end here in Iowa, the stand that I will look forward to making more memories out in the years to come.

Now let’s see some photos from your favorite stands!

Sweet pics, what part of IA are you in? You can just generalize

Well, from the top of the hill in the background, on a clear day, I can see downtown Des Moines in the distance.

Very cool post! It amazes me how some stands can produce year after year after year.

Here’s a few pictures of a stand that is very special to me. It sits in a bottom of a ravine surrounded by mature woods is on the way to the food sources with an adjacent pond. The deer like to bed on the ridgetops and funnel their way down past the stand. This is where I arrowed the wide one and it’s very special to me.
