A successful fall after a year in Iraq

    Just wanted to update all on my successful fall after returning this spring from a year in Iraq. I can’t tell you how much this site helped me get through the long deployment. Every time I had a chance to get online, I was reading (and dreaming) of coming back to Minnesota. As you can see it has been a good fall. The first buck was shot in the North Metro on a special park hunt. I had my wife and two sons with and was hoping they would get a chance at their first buck, but as you can see I was the lucky one. The second deer was taking in the North East Metro on a hunt for deployed soldiers. It was shot with my bow at about 35 yards. The final picture was the most memorible hunt. My 13 year old son and I spent two weekend in South Dakota. He shot his first deer with his bow, his first pheasant and as you can see, his first snow geese. He has the hunting bug, I really look forward to next year.
