Confirm that report ct…we were out this morning (late) about 10AM and the black crappies were eager to bite. I was using a culprit paddletail with custom painted 1/32 oz head and my buddy was using a crawler. He got about 80% sunnies using that live bait and I got almost 100% crappies using the plastic. Worst problem I had all day was the fish spit zebra mussel parts into my livewell and it plugged up the drainhose!!! Big fish for the day was an 8#+ carp that took my paddletaill right at shore and gave me 15 minutes of rod bending action. It was a real horse when we finally got it up enough to get a net underneath. I was hoping for a catfish but no luck on that score.

Got these from my brother in law in Houston. No other details but cool to look at.

Texas deer always look huge because of the small body size. I would guess that by the way the 1st guy is sitting 5 feet behind the deer to make it look bigger that it is not as impressive as it looks. The second looks to be a nice deer. Thanks for posting.

I think the buck in the 1st 2 pics is alive…??? Check out him holding his head up and his pose ???

BTW.. I think I see a guy in the field behind that 1st buck picture…..

    Texas is a different animal….

Anyone remember Mitch Rompola, the Michigan hunter who’s deer had limp ears? He’d be proud to see that first buck has the same limp ears.

Pretty cool picture anyways – how do you get a dead deer to hold it’s head up like that? That’s one strong twig behind it’s head / neck.

A few correctly placed sticks work well!

I remember the Rompola buck… his had limp ears, because he cut the skull cap open to put some GIANT antlers that he fabricated, onto it… he took acouple pics, then went into hiding… he still has not let then x ray the rack, to either prove or disprove any records ??? That to me = fake….
