Double Drop for my future Cousin

I guess this is how easy it can be:
Jake is engaged to my cousin, Emily (they live in California). Jake was in MN hunting with Emily’s dad, on a 40-acre parcel adjacent to my uncle’s hunting land south of Deer Creek.

Jake shot this buck around 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon (2nd weekend). Inside measurement was just under 20” with the tallest point on the rack being 10” plus there are two 5” drop tines coming off the back.

First MN deer for Jake! To say the least he was excited.

I’m going to send my cousin a message on FB, letting her know that Jake shouldn’t come back and hunt in MN because he will only be let down. How do you top a “Double Drop Tine” buck???

I love the boots and pants…. and for the guys who chew tobacco…. yep, he was spitting in stand.

Congrats Jake on a great trophy

I was tickled pink with a single drop , can’t imagine what it would be like to kill a double drop….

    Congrats to the Jake!

Probably one of only a few whitetails that will be hanging on a wall in Cali. Congrats to him!

Interestingly enough I was chewing & spitting from my stand also when I harvested “Gravedigger”, my 2010 Gun Buck, and my 2008 Bow Buck… I’m trying to quit, but it’s hard when the “Griz” is such a great whitetail attractant…

That is a awesome buck. Definitely will be hard to top that. Heck, if I saw him from my stand I would probably swallow my copenhagen.
