Coffee can, with a hole in the end the size of the leeches you are after, a chunk of raw burger in the can, sink it in a pond. Tie string on it to retrieve.

Put a little meat in each fold, hold them shut with a paper clip on each end and lay on the bottom of my leech pond. I like them better than the coffee can method or a gunny sack. To clean out the leeches, just open them up and push all the leeches out with your hand….no sharp edges.

December 1, 2010 at 3:38 pm #202164Someone had posted this earlier this year but i didn’t recall where the footage was taken. I have heard Shoreview and Inver Grove Heights. I also saw that a member said that Ted Nugent and Pat Reeves were after this buck.
Does anyone know where this was filmed?
sorry it’s not from youtube but i can’t find it on any other site.
December 1, 2010 at 4:10 pm #95147I posted a YouTube video on this a while back, I will try find it.
The video was removed from YouTube by the poster
December 1, 2010 at 4:37 pm #95156i’ve now heard Excelsior and Chanhassen. I still don’t know what to believe? Guess i’ll just keep plugging away to figure it out.
December 1, 2010 at 6:38 pm #95187I know its reality but it’s still sad to think that money/power/greed can buy access to trophy animals.
December 2, 2010 at 12:49 am #95222Now Lake Elmo and Minnetonka? I don’t know if I’m getting closer or further from the truth?
Oh well, I just found out a 175″+ that I have a pic from last year made it and he’s a typical 190″ this year. I know the area where he lives. I’m going to focus on getting permission to go after him. ->>>————–>

It is in Excelsior, guys I work with saw it.
There’s the proof,, well , kinda. I’m just surprised we haven’t heard more about this buck more. Well, I guess If I was a local I would keep it quiet too (for shed hunting reasons)!
tapoutPosts: 309December 3, 2010 at 1:41 pm #95491It was me who talked about this buck I know the town and the exact farm this buck is on. I hunt pretty close by their and yea pat and ted are after him and have been real hush about it. And u can see why and yes it does suck that guys can come in and pay big bucks because they got it to have a chance after this monster. its in south eastern mn between rochester and redwing by a small town. Like i said i sure hope the guy that works 5 to 6 days a week in a factory gets this when it jumps the fence not those two.

off of IDO i have heard Excelsior several times. just goes to show that some people care way too much about deer and others could care less. I’m not gonna lie…. if i had the opportunity to hunt this buck i would pay for it as well (but, i can’t afford it)

December 3, 2010 at 4:07 pm #95532I dont know if this picture belongs with the story or not but I do know where Pat and Ted are hunting, as it is 3 miles away from my wifes parents where we hunt every single weekend and yes they are chasing a monster and we also know the land owner very well. I think Tapout may have a good idea where they are hunting. The only thing that makes me mad is when I met Pat and Nicole I said they should stop by and visit and they have yet to show….
tapoutPosts: 309December 3, 2010 at 8:30 pm #95593yea i dont know pat like that but i know a few guys that do a they one is my uncle that grew up with him and i herd hes not reallly the most friendly guy some say stuck up and on a hi horse. No this deer is not in a hi fence fair chase.

it is amazing, you should see it up close…
December 10, 2010 at 3:26 am #96621Sorry Mike, I wasn’t asking for locations or anything like that. I was just assuming that you came across it online or through a buddy or something. That thing is amazing!
December 10, 2010 at 4:04 am #96625Yeah that is an amazing buck. I hope somebody that has a real job gets that one. It’s too bad know days that some situations money talks when it comes to big bucks. The days of knocking on doors in some areas might be over.
January 2, 2011 at 3:01 am #98048I asked Pat last night if he ever ended up getting this buck or anyone else for that matter. He was kind of sheepish about talking about it which was too be expected. He tried to see what I knew about this buck. We both laughed when I said that he should know that nobody was talking about this buck. We kept chatting about it and said he sat that last night on New Years Eve and it’s all over for the year. We talked about how it’s going to be a little tougher next year because of all the publicity this buck go this year and how there’s going to be a lot of guys after it next year. He agreed that the only good thing about it making another year is the hopes that it will an even bigger monster next year if it survives.

same deer?
Interesting picture.
I hope that everything that has been written here is true but when an animal of this size starts showing up you have to ask questions and be somewhat skeptical. Interesting thing about this is that I have heard the “oh, I know the guy who filmed this” story a few times or a buddy of mine knows this deer etc…
This winter picture is definitely interesting. A true monster that has the pressure on him is just lounging around during daylight letting someone take pictures of him while Nugent and Pat are supposedly sitting in tree stands hunting hard wondering where the heck he is! Hmmmm
xecutePosts: 67January 3, 2011 at 4:18 am #98112Actually I just thought a little more about this… Ted Nugent coming to MN for a fair chase hunt after this guy?
