Our group had 8 bucks for 10 guys. They included a 12, 10, 9, 2 8’s, 6 and 2 spikes. I was lucky enough to get the 12 and 9. Both weighed over 200 lbs. The 12 is getting mounted. Here’s the 9.

I am posting a picture of Brian Ingli’s buck. Brian is a guy I work with and have know for years. He shot this buck last Friday afternoon. He and another guy went out hunting in an area close to a town I’m not gonna mention, because I’m sure they would like to keep it hush, hush. lol I wonder why? I know know where though. lol The other guy was gonna video tape that night, but the batteries were dead when they arrived to where they were hunting.Well from what I hear on the story they had just had their stands up and this big boy walked in ten minutes later. EIGHT YARDS AWAY!!! Deer only went around 80 yards.
They green scored him with deductions at 173 1/4 and figured him at 162 1/2 Pope and Young after deductions.

Sent to us by visitor David Moore.

In his own words… “The Super-Blackhawk spoke well yesterday. I shot a decent 8 point about 2:30 pm Wednesday. I took off of work at 1:00 pm and hunted public land near Rochester. I still hunt the area as it gets a lot of hunting pressure and the deer usually don’t move unless your right on top of them. The Wind was blowin snow and rain at about 40 mph when I shot him at about 30 yards. Knocked him down instantly then he tried to get up so I popped him 2 more times just to make sure, probably wouldn’t have had to shoot him again though. Now I have to wait until Muzzleloader season to shoot a doe (all season lic.)!

Thought I would post some pics of a couple of bucks from last year. The first is an OK sized 8 pointer I shot, and the 2nd is a nice 10 my cousin shot.

Here’s a couple of photo’s of a friends deer.In his own words. Here he is! He’s a 13 point with great mass. He came to a grunt call at 8:00 am November the 8th. I watched him drop at 80 yards. No dragging involved. He tipped over on a logging road so I just backed up to him and tossed him on the bumper rack. Don K.

Those are some really great looking deer men. looks of high scoring racks, read my Antler Measuring post if looking for a score, if you are a ways out of the south metro MSP area, I can locate a measurer prob in your area. Jack.

Here’s A pic of the 9 pointer I shot on Halloween night. I tried calling him in using grunts, doe bleats, snort wheezes, and finally the rattling antlers got him riled up enough to move in my direction after he ran to check the wind. After a 25 yard shot through the heart he
dressed out at 220 lbs with a 21 inch spread!

Here is a pic of a buck that hangs on my wall, unfortunately I can not lay claim to him. This buck was found by a friend of mine that was home on leave from the navy. He and his brother were out pheasant hunting near the MN, IA border on Thanksgiving Day 1985 when they came across this buck that had been gored by another buck. The buck was still alive but could only crawl a little ways at a time. They contacted the DNR and got permission to put the buck down. I sure would have liked to seen the buck that but this one down! I took the deer to the MN deer classic and entered it in the non hunting category it scored 143.
