Hey guys I don’t mind stories along with the pics here, I just did not want to see big discussions here about QDM, or telling someone they should have passed that buck up, ect, ect……
So go ahead and put the story in with the pic that’s perfectly fine, or if you do not have a pic you can post your story here.

If you would like to put the story in with the pic you can go back and edit the post, but if too much time has passed you will not be able to edit, if that is the case just send the story to me in a PM or a e-mail and I can add it to the post for you. Anyone else that would like to have there story added to the pic you already posted can do the sameOctober 18, 2003 at 12:24 am #278988Jerry,

He came to my treestand so quick, I never had time to get the shakes before the shot. One interesting note though. He was shot on a side hill of a cow pasture. Who says you need to hunt the thickest cover you can find. lol
I do have any interesting story about last year’s deer I’ll post this weekend though.October 18, 2003 at 12:41 am #278990Thanks Steve, but not much of a story with that deer. October 24, 2003 at 11:59 am #829Gotta love memories like those! Great symmetry on the ’87 buck! Overall growth seems similar on both bucks………….bloodline? Anyway, we don’t want to discuss it here……….save this thread for the pics!

November 1, 2003 at 2:52 am #1008Great lookin buck there, Jeff. Looks like you put the arrow dead center of the boiler room!!! Can’t beat those Matthews bows! They are a treat to shoot! Once again great job!
Did you get him early in the morning?

November 1, 2003 at 1:08 pm #1017Boiler room is correct. The buck stood broadside at 15 yards and I’m up around 20 feet so I had a great angle for the heart shot and I did it. Right threw the heart & lungs, my mom is mad at me because now she can’t pickle the heart. The deer ran 50 yard and fell over. I shot him around 7:00am, he came in with a basket rack and I let him walk by. That Matthew bow was one of the best investment I made. With Easton A/C/C and Interlock broadhead it’s been a winning team for three years now. Now it’s back to walleye fish. Thanks guys

November 1, 2003 at 1:14 pm #1018This buck has a 19 &1/2 inside spread, good mass and will be scored as a 8 pointer. He might have about 3 to 5 points deductions. Who thinks he will make pope&young?

November 2, 2003 at 2:32 am #1030If it makes book I will, but I think it will only score around 115 to 120 . Otherwise I’ll just get the rack mounted.

November 2, 2003 at 3:24 am #1031I think it might be under 125 also. Good inside spread and mass, but your G2’s are a negative. One much longer than the other. Do you know how to score a rack? It wouldn’t be hard to do with your rack, Jeff.
Jeff, just curious, what is the let off on your Matthews 65% or 80%. If 80% then you aren’t able to register it for Pope and Young. To high of a let off. My MQ1 has 65% let off just in case I get lucky. . Boone and Crockett Scoring Chart sc.pdf This is a site that has the scoring chart for typical racks.
