A buddy of mine hits the Deep Woods of Northern MN every year in search of big bucks. He usually takes a 130 – 140″ buck every year. This year he found a really impressive buck. The body on this deer is staggering.
There are big deer in Northern MN, you just have to work for them. Congrats David.

Did you happen to weight it, I am more impressed about the weight of the deer than the antlers, but if they both go together like this one.

I really don’t know. I told him years ago about the pack frames we use and about bringing a deer out in pieces. It’s way easier than dragging. I’ve been packing deer out for years. Makes the trip that much more interesting.

I’ve been to the BWCA, and can’t imagine deer hunting there. I wouldn’t know where to begin, with miles upon miles of endless dense cover. I’ll stick to my Iowa farmland whitetails!
