What weapon will you be using? I think it could work but I’m not sure if it’s necessary if you are doing it in the firearm season using a rifle. By the time the buck sees the doe, you should be able to put it down anyways. I guess I could understand if you need to pull a buck in closer with a shotgun/slug. If you’re bowhunting, then I think it’s worth a try.

QDM, if you are heading West bowhunting I would definitely try it up there. I usally see the peak Chasing going on up there mid November. I’m guessing they could be “locked down” by this weekend but when they are done they will be out crusing for another girlfirend. If I was to decoy this weekend it would definitely be with a doeo rin other words if I were heading West this weekend the decoy would be in the truck.

Around here Slug Hunting, I think it still would be worth a try, just be careful!

Those would be the two secnts I would use! Good Luck!

Sorry should have clarified that, bow hunting out west where gunseason is closed. The big boy is on the farm multi sightings!! Limited cover means I need to draw him in with some thing, the food is there

I had the decoy (doe) out yesterday evening during the rain and heavy fog and ended up bringing in 10 different bucks and countless does. I couldnt believe it, I soaked her up pretty good with deer herd in a stick and buck bomb doe estrous. The interesting thing was the does were very interested in her and wouldnt leave her side but the bucks were all curious and came in but wouldnt stick around very long before they acted like something was up. One last note, I noticed it really got the bucks all fired up as they became very aggressive with one another as if they were fighting for love I took the decoy down after getting out of the tree and returned this evening for a hunt and had a brand new rub right where she was positioned the night before. Go Gettem
