    Corey,
Well said. Thanks for the reminder. I’m sorry for the loss of your dad. I’m sure this year’s deer season will be extra special. God Bless…

Corey – thanks for the reminder. I’m guessing it will be an emotional opening day morning for you knowing that you are sitting in your dad’s stand and using his old 30.06. I will be thinking of you. As I like to say, deer hunting is never about the buck. May the hunting memories of your dad live forever.

To those that have lost a significant person in their life, a heartfelt thought goes out to you. 11 years ago, I lost my 2nd black lab today. My wife and I have no children, so they are pretty important to us.

Corey & huntalot60, my Sat. a.m. went like this and I hope your does too… Early I shot a 140 class deer, then a little later I shot a great big doe!!! While my brother watched for deer from my stand, I buried the second of my labs under my tree stand. I get to hunt with them a day and a half every year.

My 11 year old was just a pup then and she’s is getting ever closer to the hunting tree. Lucky enough to be hunting with my 82 year old father and going home to celebrate both parents living and their 55th anniversary on Thanksgiving!!!

I will be hunting eastern Clark and western Wood counties south of Marshfield, then northern WI for da big buck, throwing a couple of days of ducks in there also.

Good Luck, be safe and have a great story to tell when you do return!!!

    Mark
