I know this is mostly a bow site but surely many of you are gun hunting the MN opener this weekend? I will be hunting by Winni for the first time. This is my first time back to MN in 5 years. Been in Wi. Going to have fun and spend time in the woods. None too serious but no going to mess around either. The stand I was all set to hunt seriously was on potlatch land which sold between the time I scouted 3 weeks ago and now. Bummer.

Heading up to the deer woods on Fri. Can hardly wait!!!!! My buddy was out last weekend puting seats on a few of the ladder stands. He says there are a ton of new scrapes and Rubs that showed up in just the last week. I think the next 2 weeks could be hitting the peak of the rut about right in Central Minnesota. Opening weekend weather looks great. Lows in the upper 20’s and highs in the low 40’s Hope they are wrong about the showers for Mon. and Tues. I could live with it comming down as snow but I hate hunting in the rain. Plan on hunting 4 days opening weekend and then heading back up for 3 days the 2nd weekend. . The whole party got Doe permits so thats good. I’m going to hold out for a nice buck for rifle season. I have a doe permit for Muzzleloader season so I’ll hold off till then for a doe if necessary. Best of luck to you and everyone else this next weekend and the rest of the season. BE SAFE !!!!

I hope its not a Bow site. I spend far to much time on here and I don’t own a bow ( Yet anyway ) I hope they don’t kick me off !!!

Not a bow site. Just an Outdoor site!

I’m heading North on Friday to the Family Ranch North of McGregor to the big woods to do some RIFLE hunting and share deer camp with my Dad and Family!

Everyone have a safe and fun weekend!

I will be hunting(maybe sleeping) Northeast of Wadenna. It could be soo much better up there, but too many cooks in the kitchen. It will be some good time spent with dad and brother and maybe the cousins ? Good Luck and Be SAFE!

Been looking forward to this weekend since last year when I capitalized on my first buck which was a mounter! Gonna be on my land right out of La Cresent on Lanes Valley Road! Hunting the morning with a Buddy of mine out of the Ameri-Step Choice blind and were video taping eachother, hoping for some great success. After school heading out to set up the blind and get final touches to a few stands! Good luck to all hopefully a successful hunt with post to come this weekend
