Same deer or same gene pool?

Finally had some good bucks show up on my property in the last two weeks!

The questions I have are 1) could these deer be the same, 2) if not, do you think they’re from the same gene pool?

The first three pictures are of the same deer, taken in the same minute. Do you think he got spooked by the flash? The 3rd picture is the same as the 2nd, just zoomed in.

This deer looks really old. How old do you think he is? Also note it looks like an 8 in the first picture, but in the second, it looks like a 9 with 5 on the right side and a tall left-side G2.

The next deer was taken a 10 days earlier on a different part of the property. The body of this deer looks younger than the first, but note it is either a 9-10 w/ 5 on the first and a tall left-side G-2.

The last picture was taken in the same spot as #3. From the side, this deer also appears to have 5 on the right and a tall left-side G-2. Overall, the nose looks more stubbed and the rack looks darker.

Well, what do you guys think? Are these the same deer? Are they from the same gene pool, or… am I thinking too far into this.

Either way, any one of these would look good in the truck…

IMO 2 different deer. Both are shooters in my book!

I’ve convinced myself the two from different areas of the property (~1/2 mile) are the same deer. Look at them side-by-side… identical racks.

The last picture from the first post is strikingly similar… if you stare at it long enough (which I have). I have to believe it’s the same deer as well.
