I have burned my buck tag for the last six years, as have my dad and brothers. Our Plots and QDM efforts are starting to pay off. I think he’s Mature without a doubt….Now I just have to figure out how to get my hands around those antlers, and tell my wife that I am going to burn up the rest of my vacation this week now!

I hear you, hopefully I end up with the problem of having to convince her that he’s gonna look great above the fireplace! Certainly a mature buck and a definate shooter in my eyes!

very true!!! Maybe I can seal the deal this weekend still. Heading back out for the evening now… 
Your efforts should and likely will pay dividends…my brother, my father and myself made a pact some 7 years ago that the only bucks that get shot are the giants that are on the property. In the last 5 years we have shot 5 bucks (1 each year all these bucks have scored better than 130″ and the largest was a 167″. From all reports we will be chasing a buck bigger than all of the previous 5 this year. We hope to get the opportunity…
Send that big boy about a 40 miles NE of you will you? If he gets started that way now he should be in my area by Next Sat. morning!!!!
