I always put the soaked chips right on top of the charcoal.

    Hey Chippee,

I soak the chips and then wrap them in tinfoil cutting slots in the top of the tinfoil. I place them directly in the coals. I like to soak the chips a good hour prior to use. Sounds good whens suppper???

You dont want to put the chips right on the coals.. you will have a fire.

The pan directly above the charcoal pan holds the chips. I usually put that pan right on the coals once they are going good. Dont leave water in with the chips or they wont start smoking for hours.

Be ready with a squirt bottle in case the chips flame up a little, its not uncommon, and for obvious reasons you dont want your chips on fire(your food will soon follow).

Now that Muley is in the books, what are your plans now? Getting Lori on a bruiser?

I drove home from Nebraska last night. The last time I was on the computer at 1AM, he was just getting offline. I suspect he spent the morning pinching himself and then headed for Durand with the cape and horns.

Yep! He’s at Peterson Taxidermy with a cold beer in one hand and Muley in the other!

I know he has atleast one invite to come over to MN, me, since he helped with putting in a foodplot for me. I am guessing he has others to as I know he helped a lot of us out this year!

I am guessing Lori is priority number 1 adn she still has a lot of choices to make with as many shooters he has running around.

If you want to head over Pat, I have room for you! Congrats again!!!
