I have a question…which camera would you rather own, a cuddeback capture flash or a bushnell trophy cam. I am looking to buy one of these cameras and need a little help…any preference? I was thinkin the cuddeback.

Cudde gets my vote if you want pictures only

Cuddeback by far, the only thing I don’t like about Cuddy’s is getting the batteries out – can be a task. Better pictures and trigger speed.

I own/use both and am very happy with both. The cudde takes slightly better pics during the day. The night pics are of course color with the flash vs. IR. However the Trophy has video capabilities, I really like that feature.

Depends on what your needs are.

I would buy a DLC Covert HR. I have a number of cudde backs and this camera simply is better. It will take 8 mega pixel pictures and holds a 8 GB SD card and takes great video.

I have a Trophy Cam and am pretty disgusted with its performance. Image quality is poor at best. The flash range is terrible. Maybe I just got a lemon, but I certainly won’t be buying another Bushnell.

I think after using many diff. brands of cameras it comes down to what you can afford and how you plan on using it. I have cuddeback, busnell/scout guard, regular scout gaurd, moultrie, wildview and a couple of other off brand cameras, One thing to remember is that the camera of today is much better than cameras that were built even a year ago. faster trigger speed, longer battery life etc. Here is an example I used to want only cuddebacks what i found was poor battery life, slow trigger speeds, they didn’t accept sd cards etc. so I went to moultrie and scout gaurd. Then last year my son bought a cuddeback capture, wow what a change from the cuddeback expert This camera does it all! fast trigger acceptable battery life and great pics both day and night. I guess what I am trying to say is any new model year camera in the $125-$225 range will probably make you happy. I think you would be happy with either of the cameras that you asked about (bushnell, scoutguard and covert are all made by the same company) All of these camera manufactures have made major improvements to keep us trail camera freaks happy

I own 5 Cudde’s (3 diff models) and 2 Bushnell IR. I love the color pics on the Cudde and love the video (at night) from the Bushnell. I’m not a big fan of the video in general from the Cudde’s but I do like that they take a pic at the same time. To me the both have their pros and cons. Just come down to personal preference or what you would rather have?

    Pics? Or video?
