I know a crew that went out there Friday morning and planned on a 3 day fishing weekend. 2 of the 6 guys made it out for 45 minutes Friday late morning and nobody else hit the water. Boats were full of……..snow. I am also glad that I didnt make the trip this year.

Tough bite. There were 4 or 5 6 fish limits with only about 40 teams weighin fish. 15lbs to win. Hope the weather is a little better this weekend.

you have ever tracked a deer? Last night I hit one in the liver it ran about a hundred yards then it proceeded to cross the river it’s a bit higher than normal so after I got my brother’s waders(mine are at the folks place) and an inner tube, life jacket and rope. My poor wife helped me out I found the arrow on the other side and decided to back out. Good blood on the arrow. Liver blood from what I could see.

So I got a situation on hand. I tracked her 100 yards and tonight I will go as far as it takes. Hopefully with some results.

But How far have you tracked and recovered/ or unrecovered

Miles. Both unrecovered. Of course the fact that they went miles may have been the clue we needed to know they weren’t hit very hard.

Most long tracks end up with nothing…From what I’ve seen anyways.. But good luck! Hopefully she didn’t spoil if you find her.

I go until I run out of blood, then I start circling. Once I feel I’ve given it all I can, I walk out.

You’ll find this deer, a liver shot is lethal.

No lie, approximatley 7.5 miles and I was able to put a second arrow into him back in ND in 2003. By the time the second arrow went into him he was 5 sections South and 2 to the East. That was a long day believe me. I will see if I can find the story here on IDO and post it here.
