You can try hair jigs and a minnow at the cans in lake St. Croix, or at the Stillwater bridge,
or bottom bouncers and spinners with a minnow or crawler under the 94 bridge,

Welcome to the site Crusty! Do a search on this site for bite on the Croix around opener. Lots of info here.

Community spots are Hudson channel, Catfish Bar in Afton, and Kinni narrows. Classic walleye stuff, jigs, rigs, live bait. If you have leadcore, give it a shot on the opener.

Otherwise, join us at the Borderline on May 1 and buy Mike a couple . That’s the best way to get real info on the Croix. Tight lipped group otherwise.

    Good luck!

You can longline crankbaits that run 8 to 15 feet deep on power pro or fireline cover ground and catch fish. Plus this works on any productive shoreline away from all the people in community spots.

I didn’t get home from work until 9:00p.m. I thought that I had washed all of my Scent-Lok gear from last year – Whoops! Still the same way I left it from late season archery. I have 2 Scent-Lok Totes, 6 Hunter Specialty Bags, 12 pair of Base Layers, Socks, 6 early season Scent-Lok Suite’s, etc….
It’s alot of stuff to wash, then dry. I got done washing and drying the gear at 1:30am this morning. I am almost ready for the Wisconsin Archery Season to begin
Now to get all the gear in the truck
    never enough room.
