I am looking for some advice on which broadhead to choose the rage 3 blade or 2 blade and why. I have only ever shot muzzy 3 and 4 blades in 100 grain. Im looking for somthing that will shoot alot like my field tips and from what I have heard from you guys on here is that rage is somthing to try. thanks

First of all every set up (bow) is different. Personally I find the Rages work extremely well out of my set up!

I personally like the Rage 3 Blade as IMO it makes more of a “Hole” rather than a “Slit”. A “Slit” to me is easier to plug by tissue, muscle etc. pressing together. I have seen first hand evidence/experience to this last year with a 2 blade. The 3 blade not only helps on entrance and exit wounds but also messing stuff up throughout the wound channel (inside the Deers, Elks, Bears, etc) body). The Rage 2 does have a bigger cutting diameter but the results I have experienced with the 3 blade has me a believer.

But then again you will probably find this a Ford vs. Chevy debate when it comes to Rage 2 vs. Rage 3 blade.

Just my opinion from a long time Rage User and Believer!

I have never used the 3 blade, but the 2 blade works wonders in my eyes. The first picture is my first deer with a bow. She bled perfectly with a heart shot. My buck from last year was arrowed through the shoulder and didn’t bleed as much, but I’m not convinced any broadhead would have in that position. The two blade did break through the bone and all the way through one lung and about halfway into the second.

With my ancient setup, they fly true to a field tip. I don’t plan on changing anytime soon!

I’ve shot both the 3 & 2 blade. I like the 2 blade best , but I also pull a lower poundage bow… approx. 45-48 lbs. & shoot a lighter weight arrow -guessing it had something to do with w/ my setup to maximize penetration. Rob did a lot of research on this & there was a good reason we switched me to the 2 blade….
