I believe they have slimmed down their line to basically only making the Capture and Capture IR now.
lickPosts: 6443August 3, 2010 at 8:36 pm #84382Yep it’s flash or no flash Thats totally up to you. Personally I don’t like the black and white pics and don’t believe the flash spooks deer so it’s flash for me
August 3, 2010 at 8:40 pm #84384Rob is correct. Capture and Capture IR. Good time to buy one. Cuddeback is offering rebates on them. $50 for the IR and $25 for the Capture.
Check out their webpage.lickPosts: 6443August 3, 2010 at 8:45 pm #84388Quote:

Yeah I would say the deer on your property are not spooked since they are there every night posing for you!
August 3, 2010 at 9:28 pm #84396Ive been looking on Ebay and the Capture is around $200. Looking at Gut’s pictures and others on here it looks like a good investment. However, im a little skeptic about buying a camera that uses D cell batteries These are a little expensive compared to the AA’s that my Trophy Cam takes and the battery life lasts a loooooong time How is the battery life for the Capture?
Is it more economical to buy another Trophy Cam or Capture?lickPosts: 6443August 3, 2010 at 9:33 pm #84397I get about a month in warm weather out my batteries. So not too impressive Rayovac 6 pks cost $6. Tough call but the Cuddebacks do take great pics
August 3, 2010 at 9:33 pm #84398I have had great luck with mine but they don’t get anywhere near the use that Gut’s camera’s do.
If you decide to go with a Cuddeback, you might want to check this out before you buy one.
lickPosts: 6443August 3, 2010 at 9:38 pm #84401Ptb mine are all Captures with flash
With the Mrs discount at Gander Mountain they are $169
August 3, 2010 at 9:38 pm #84402One thing that I’m continued to be impressed with the Trophy is the IR distance. I have some videos and I can plainly see stuff 75 feet away in the complete dark.
I agree I like the Cudde’s pictures but I like being able to capture Videos even better!
To me it is truly amazing how many times 10 to 25 seconds through a 30 second video I have another deer and often a buck appear on video. A camera taking just 2 or 3 pics and waiting a minute will most likely never capture that late comer animal! Just what I have observed since I started doing video mode on my Moultrie’s 3 or 4??? years ago!

I agree a video mode would be pretty cool But with a 30 seconds setting you will get plenty of pics of the same deer for a good look

DING DING DING… I now own a Cuddeback Capture and a Bushnell Trophy Cam….best of BOTH worlds!
August 3, 2010 at 11:48 pm #84421I just bought the Cuddee IR and I am hopeing I like it. I have a buddy who has a couple flash’s and 1 IR. He likes the flashes better for picture quality. He also said on really cold days the picture quality on the IR is not so good. He thinks it might be the IR LED’s don’t function properly because they are so cold. Daytime pics when it is cold are great. I went with the IR only to not draw attention to a $200 camera. I will trade some quality for the extra security.
August 5, 2010 at 3:25 pm #84517Just bought the Capture off Ebay for $175. Comes with the 1 year warranty
