boy that said a lot of nothing. if a place closed its doors you should be able to name the place. no one is going to get mad if you name some names around here as long as you don’t slander them.

I think it was a closed door meeting not closing it’s doors.

Never a good sign when Ranger jerks your franchise away from you.

it might be early to mention, but how early is too early to hunt field edges? I will be commuting this fall to school with classes starting at 11 m-f. I have several pictures of deer(i don’t know if their bucks) right around sunrise. Would it be logical to hunt here (alfalfa surrounded by hay) in the morning before i have to leave for school? I will be able to hunt every night if homework is light this fall, but what do you guys think? It will be like im back in high school this fall If possible, i can hunt almost every night!!! What do you think??

Thats where I’ve done most my hunting except for travel routes in timbers between fields. Field edges are no fail for me for most of the season.

Problem is and the reason why most guys don’t do it isbecause the deer are already in the feild feeding when you get there, it all really depends on the set up, if you feel you can get in and wack one undected then yes but if I can’t get in without clearing the feild ill sleep everytime!

    x2!

About the only time I will push the envelope on a field edge in the morning is during the rut or if it is corn or I can sneek in undetected from the back side! It seems 95% of the time you do more damage then good and hay and alf fields are tough.
