I like a double surgeons knot.I tie a lot of power pro to Flourocarbon.Keep it wet on the cinch up and it works great…ties really fast as a bonus!

I also like the double uni knot. I can tie it really fast and I have never had any problems with it.

uni to uni is the one! Horsed a 51 ” sturg in this weekend with 10 lb power pro with a 6 lb fluro leader with no prob! Also intentionally let several sturgeon break me off and the uni never failed. The knot on my jig always went first! BTW the sturg are unbelievibly thick on the Rainy right now!! caught 5 and let at least 5 have my jig!!

I also use the double uni knot with fireline to flouro or power pro to flouro. I have used the double surgeon knot for years on fly fishing leaders. Both work

Back to back Uni Knot 5 wraps with mono or flouro & 6 with braid works good for me.

Hey Gut, just curious….what do you have on that stump? I had pretty good luck with a couple different mineral sites last year. But looking to get a few more going this year, in hopes of getting a few pics like this

    Gut,
Do you have any pictures of the 10 pter last year? What do you think he scores? Thanks for posting all of your trail cam photo’s – I’m getting the itch to get the season started!
