Late season has been tough. I have plenty of action near my stand but it is ALL at night . Thinking about puttin out the camera to see what’s coming in but haven’t heard good things about Moultrie’s and the cold. Anyone familiar with operation in the cold? I think I might also start moving down the main trail to get closer to them but am already close to a bedding area. Any thoughts?

I had no trouble with my Moultrie IR40 in the snow… Battery life is shorter though.

Yea my moultrie works great. The battery will die alot quickier than the summer or fall.

my I40’s work great to around -5 to -10 degrees, batteries will still last for weeks at temps near 0. Not sure about the other moultrie cams though.

I change my I40’s to picture mode in the winter and have very good battery life. I just pulled 2 cards from I40’s at my cabin in northern mn. they have been out for 4 weeks. both had over 900 15 second video’s and the battery life was still at 30%

Yep, a lil shorter life but I still get a good month or so with extreme cold temps with my I40, I50 & I60’s!

I had my Moultrie I40 out and checked it this past weekend…the last pictures I got were blizzard pics from two weeks ago. It must have shut itself down for some reason because I went and hit the power button and it turned right back on!

Also, I was out Saturday from 6:30 a.m. til 4:30 p.m. and saw 13 deer. Definately not complaining about the action I saw!
