I hear you, thats why I decided the next doe was going down this past weekend! I was having a heck of a time seeing anything let alone a big buck so she drew the short straw. With the cold coming we should be fishing by this weekend! Can’t wait to see that first one show up on the flasher!

Ive still been hitting the woods every weekend with the bow and last Sat had 17 deer in the cut corn…and two shooter bucks…prior to this cold it was slow going..I plan on taking off work Thursday and Friday if everything goes right…I love this cold as the deer are hitting the food hard…now to get them near the stand…good luck and focus on the food…Jay

I agree, the deer are there as there is plenty of sign just not during daylight. When I have just had time to go for a drive and look for deer I do not see them until right about 5, quiting time. Also my area is seeing pretty heavy muzzleloader pressure. It seems the last few years there are more muzzleloader hunters than shotgun hunters in my area. Of course this is o.k. by me since it keeps a lot of hunters out of the woods during the rut!

Same here, lots of pictures of them moving after dark. I’m holding out hope for after the storm, still looking for one with bone on the head…

Jami hit it on the head. Tonight, tomorrow and there after the storm it should get those deer on their feet and looking for everything before it gets covered up. At least for the Southern half of MN and much of WI.

Even if you don’t see a deer consider yourself lucky because I am stuck in Des Moines working and will not be home until Friday evening. The worst part is we probably won’t even be able to work tommorow. The only thing worse than being stuck in Iowa is being stuck in Iowa with nothing to do
