For you anyone that wants a bigger view don’t forget to check out that “full screen” option located on the player control.

I can’t seem to find the full screen option when I go to watch. Am I not looking in the correct area? Any help would be appreciated.

    Great question, Jim.

I’ve reposted the video and added an image that shows you where to full-screen control is located.

Let me know if that works for you.

I love catching big fish, but I’ve never had any fish get my heart pounding even close to what those deer at 20 yards do.

Kooty made this statement in a previous post. I’ve been trying to become an avid/hardcore fisherman over the last few years with some success. However reading what he wrote and knowing how I felt just this AM taking a “nice little” deer. I’d have to agree 110%. Even a modest deer at close range gets my heart pumping and my breathing rapid. I guess I’m a hunter and I just need to accept it.

I agree with you. I’m pretty tempted to sell my Z19 ranger right now to buy some private hunting land.
My mind may change onces the bass spawn rolls around in the spring and I get my mind off hunting.

I think a big part of hunting, other than getting close to your quarry, is handling yourself when you do. Facing down that pressure is awsome. That’s why I hunt in tight areas even with a rifle. I love that rush of working close. Far away has little appeal to me. Similarly with bird hunting. You must keep your wits under pressure so you dont endanger your hunting partners. It takes practice and experience.

You had to go and wreck it now, didn’t you. You took a great post and brought her in the gutter just like that.

    Yep

I search hi and low in 4 states now for that feeling of “THE FEVER”, post shot shakes, or what ever you want to call it. I have experienced it the last two years, but only after watching my wife release an arrow. I’m just hoping that this year I can feel the full force of it again and shake uncontrollably. C’mon PLEASE!

Mission accomplished Pat! Joel…a little help here! But seriously though, both whitetails and gobblers will get my blood pumping…especially at close range!

Wade, how far do you think that deer was? 20-30 yards this morning? Must have been a rush with the pistol too

Couldn’t have been much over 25 yards. Yeah, it was. I do love that excitement. And to think, some people feel the need to take drugs for that rush.

I had to laugh. I was disheartened after shooting a doe in Montana as I wasn’t excited and had “The Fever”. Then today I got it back. Now I’ve got my bow out and wishing there was more to this season. Oh well, that much more anticipation for next season.

I feel exactly the same way all you guys do…. minus the Turkeys (I am sure when I finally have an encounter, that will change ) I think part of why we love hunting so much is, it is seasonal… you can fish everyday of the year if you want… sure there are species specific openers/closers, but there is nothing like Fall in the Upper Midwest… shorter days, cool nights, harvest time, woods going to sleep, but really coming to life I love it all

I have to say that I am still suprised at how much I become unglued any time I see a deer within shooting range and that I love every minute of it!

Each encounter is a new adventure and it seems that no 2 are ever the same. This past weekend I was up rifle hunting in NW MN and I had an old weary doe come in and sense my presence right away…What a rush to have her try and sneak around me for the next 20 minutes and finally be able to harvest her!

I am still convinced that those old does are just as smart as their counterparts!

    Big Bucks and Toms.
    Thats what is all about.
When I get deer in bow range the ol ticker starts racing at 360 a minute. Nothing else for me compares to the RUSH.
