‘ell, I don’t even like bass and I got wound up!

Steve or James did say it was the ‘sippi. At first look I thought it was the St Croix…but after seeing ALL of those footballs…nope, not the Croix!

Now, where’s that thread on how to catch creek chubs.

At at the bait store!! for the quantity and size of those ones. I’d like to know where they came from………………IF it was a store.

I was scouting an area the other day and found an area where deer have been using frequently. It is an area that funnels deer from an open creek bottom and cornfield into a thick area where there are many scrapes. Between these two areas is a flat area that has multiple large rubs and a large scrape. This flat area is where all the deer are being funneled into the main trail that runs into the thicket. Just wondering if this would be a better spot to hunt in the morning, night, or not at all? Also, I bought a decoy recently. Would it be a good idea to set the decoy up in this funnel, or will I run the risk of spooking does that may use this area. I know it is confusing, but any help would be appreciated!!

    Welcome to In-Depth Outdoors Jake!!!

Need to ask you a few questions before I can answer yours.

What state are you hunting in and are you bow hunting or gun hunting.

Set up to intercept the funnel, don’t set up ON the funnel…. stay downwind at all costs… sounds like you found what I call a HONEY HOLE Good luck Oh yeah, 15 yards off suspected path if bow, 40-50 yards if rifle/shotgun

I hunt in Pierce County, WI. I hunt with a bow and shotgun, but the opener for firearms is not until November 21st. Hoping to hunt this spot this weekend.

I agree with G sound like an awesome spot I would sit on it all day with the rut kicking in now. The reason I asked if you were hunting with a gun or a bow was if you were hunting gun opener I would be very carefully using a decoy last thing you want is someone to mistake it for a real deer.
