Sunday afternoon made it to the tree at 1:30. At 3:30 I had a button buck come in and played areound. At 4:30 I decided to rattle and instantly Had a spike buck come out of the corn right to the stand and milled areound for about 15 min. After he left I hit the buck growl followed by a few tending grunts and heard footsteps coming from the hill side I was on. Looked through the binoculars and seen it was a buck, so I grabbed the bow and got stoood up and checked him again thinking it was a nice 8pt shooter. Got positioned for the shot he had two choices of trails. One would pass 20 yrds right in front of me the other right behind me to my left. He took the one to the left the same as the spike. The buck then jumped the ditch and was at 20 yrds moving fast from his momentum. I got too full draw and no shot quarted too me at 4 yrds I think I grunted to get him stopped can’t remember, but he stoped thankfully and off goes the arrow double long possible heart. The buck traveled the side hill about 90 yrds and down he went. Had a great blood trail due to the two blade rage. Easy drag about 30 yrds too the hill rd. Hope to still get out and video the rut and watch the best time of the year. Haven’t put the tape to him but should be in the 140’s ten pointer.
