Team 23 adding some more points

    It was such a short hunt I don’t have much to say. I knew this buck was on the farm but I really wasn’t hunting a particular deer. I was just hunting. I hung the stand Sun. afternoon with every intention to hunt it as soon as I was done hanging it. Some how I managed to loose my release. So I ended up climbing down and going home to get a spare. I didn’t have time to get back to that stand so I hunted a field edge. Monday when I got home from work I got cleaned up and went to the new stand. I was there for 15 minutes and I heard a deer walking below me. The wind was perfect so I grunted a few times. 10 minutes later this buck was standing 20 yards to my right. He walked the logging road and I never heard him. He walked 10 yards below my stand and stood there for a couple minutes. Then he started walking away gave me a perfect shot and I took him. What a feeling to watch him go down.

    What a great buck. I love the 3rd picture with the leaves in the background…very nice! Sometime the best hunts can only take a couple of minutes!
