Hey guys, like I said in my last post I just started fishing the mississippi and i would like to know if the current breaks you talk about are the same as wing dams? When I moved from lakes to the river its like learning all over again. Thanks

    1-2 pics is this year
    3-6 pics is last year

If it is, he grew a lot and went from an 8 to a 10 pointer.
Main beams, G2’s and G3s (except the broken one) look very similar. Left brow looks similar but right one does not. Pics were captured about 500 yards from each other.

I voted yes! What did you vote and why?

I vote no, the smaller buck appears to be older maybe, white faced, with straight tines vs. rounded curveature on the 10. The ten appears to have a longer nose with more color and a better body frame. I think the 10 looks like a better buck with lots of room to grow. The 8 looks like a cull buck..IMO. Hard to tell on the 8 as I cant see much body and cant see much face on 10. Would like to see color pic of 10.

I voted yes. the color pics are of an old deer, it is tough without the color on last years pics, I dunno…what i’m calling charcater & antler form look very similar in both deer. I would say that is a 5.5 y/o this year. either way i would say he might not get any bigger.

I voted No I would need a better picture of the faces on the 10 point buck to really tell. Its hard……

I think the 8 pointer is alittle bit older than that 10. The 8 has so much white around its face. The curvy rack is to big of a variation for me. The 10 just looks a little bit younger for some reason. I think its a year younger brother or something. Its hard to tell……….

I voted no, It would be hard to believe he grew that much without adding any mass! They both look to be nice 2 1/2 or maybe 3 1/2 year old deer!

I voted yes. The white ring around his nose is quite distinct. He’s an old deer that is declining in my opinion. Time to cull him.

I voted No, I would think you should see some mass added from last year. Also the G2’s and G3’s roll a lot more this year than last. Then again I am no expert.

That is a tough one. I am still undecided but I’m leaning towards the same buck. Every deer progresses different. Do you have a pic where you could compare throat patches? If they are different, it’s a dead giveaway.

It sure is hard to tell but I do know they can put that many inches on in a year. I have a picture of an 8 (actually 9 with big sticker) from last year. This year I got pictures of a perfect 10 with the exact same sticker and he is somewhere between 30-40″ bigger. I was thinking this years pic was a 3.5 year old by his body but going through old pics from last year I know he is only 3.5 this year as last year he was a 115-120″ 2.5 year old.

    I am voting yes (maybe)!

Pic 2 shows a white chin and jaw vs. pic 5 shows a brown/grey chin and throat. 8pt just seems old, assuming both pics are full fall coats??

Kind of leaning towards no… not sure pic 1 & 2 are even the same deer from this year ? #2 looks like a better deer, heavier and not such a muzzle face ??? Possibly #1 is the same as 3-6 ??? #2 is throwing me off….
