How high do you go?

    I HATE heights. In fact, it’s one of the reasons I quit bowhunting 20+ years ago. Just didn’t feel I could hunt well on the ground, and didn’t like tree stands.

    And it’s not so much a fear as this wierd thing where I seem to feel dizzy everytime I look down from a stand like that. I have a couple of ladder stands with seats from 12-15 feet I use in gun season, and I feel fine sitting in them, but if I stand and look down I get kinda dizzy. Just another wierd deal in my brain I guess.

    Me personally i like to be up at least 20′. I don’t have problems getting picked off, but it all depends on the landscape. How high the underbrush is, how thick the canopy is, etc. I want to be were I can see the best and still have good cover and shooting lanes.

    I’m not a big heights guy either Dan! But get back in the game of bow hunting man…ground blinds will work just as well and you can keep your feet on the ground!
