OH man That did not look good. I hope everthing goes good for him. I got stepped on the arm once and nothing makes a cleaner and deeper cut than a hockey skate.
Wallster ><((((>
Very reminisant of malarkey in 88
I think.
I just hope the nhl doesn’t go mother hen and get over protective.
I was at the Met when Butch Goring of the Islanders got cut across his face by a skate during the Playoffs. I believe it was Steve Payne that did that.
That was gross. I experienced a similar incident when a teammate got cut across the neck. He had his neck protector on, but the skate still managed to get around it. There was blood everywhere and he ended up with 40 stitches. I almost took a kids finger off with a skate when I stepped on his bare hand at the park. Luckily the doctors put it back together and it heeled up OK.
I am a hockey fan but never played the game. sure didn’t realize they were that sharp. Wasn’t there also an official this weekend that got a skate to the head. It was not nearly as bad as this one but he got the ice bloody. sure hope that everyone is alright.
I like the video that plays after the hockey accident. Bikini ice fishing!!
No Kidding I am all for Bikini fishing, why didn’t you post that in the beginning?

You mean Clint Malarchuk in 1989.
Here is a gruesome video of what happened to him. He did recover and was back to practice in like 5 days and played a few minutes in their last game of the season which was a few weeks later.
Warning – Very Graphic – Clint Malarchuk – Throat cut by Skate
Mods, if this was inappropraite, please remove the link and I apologize for posting it.
Here is a good story about Malarchuk:
Not sure if anyone else hunted today but i went out and climbed a tree and i felt good about it til the snow really started to fly and started adding up i guess it must of been a little heavy cause limbs and trees started fallin every where i sat threw it a while and almost got hit by a branch so i got down to walk out looked and nothing like it when i went in the trails where gone trees folding over them with some trees and limbs fallen on them as well power was out every where and tree limbs in the roads any one else give it a try with any better results?
went out this evening also but had nothing like that. The radar showed the rain was too quit so I headed out. Well it quit for about 15 min thank God for tree umbrella’s did see a doe and fawn at 4:40 and that was it hope the morning is better. Hopefully this system gets out of hear.
Another pellet stove afternoon/evening for me
Did see 3 out in the backyard plot
Gonna hit it this weekend hard
Good luck everyone GAME ON
Glad to hear they where moving some places today i sure wish i would of had a cam and could of took before and after pics from when i walked in and on my way out im still in shock
I went out tonight and had almost the same experience!!!Had one limb (tree) fall nearby on the way to my stand. Once in my stand, I had three more go, one was ten yards away and rather large. Before we went out we noticed the landowners car stopped halfway up the driveway. Large branches had fallen and blocked thier way up so we cut them and cleared the way. What alot of tree damage!! I didnt see any deer, though my buddy saw a smaller ten.
Glad all the trees fallin didnt scare them all to wi i didnt sit till dark i got down early made a mock scrape and going there in the mornin if this nasty stuff is done i did come across some fresh tracks on my way out and a pretty big fresh rub guessing it was from some time today
I hear ya! came home and found these 2 SOB’s in my yard, the ensuing cleanup ruined my evening hunt. to stay positive, no damagae to the house
Made it out at 4:30 saw roughly 10 does and fawns and two 8pts (1.5 and 2.5 yr old) lots of action from early on through the evening with the bigger buck doing some chasing. Watched him freshen a scrape in front of my cam. Trying my first a.m. hunt in the morn with a buck decoy.
