James, don’t reduce it on my account, we are going to check on a faster modem this summer when I get back to work!!!! I don’t understand why I could watch 1 through 5 but 6 would shut down 1/4 of the way through?

OH man That did not look good. I hope everthing goes good for him. I got stepped on the arm once and nothing makes a cleaner and deeper cut than a hockey skate.

I was at the Met when Butch Goring of the Islanders got cut across his face by a skate during the Playoffs. I believe it was Steve Payne that did that.

That was gross. I experienced a similar incident when a teammate got cut across the neck. He had his neck protector on, but the skate still managed to get around it. There was blood everywhere and he ended up with 40 stitches. I almost took a kids finger off with a skate when I stepped on his bare hand at the park. Luckily the doctors put it back together and it heeled up OK.

I am a hockey fan but never played the game. sure didn’t realize they were that sharp. Wasn’t there also an official this weekend that got a skate to the head. It was not nearly as bad as this one but he got the ice bloody. sure hope that everyone is alright.

You mean Clint Malarchuk in 1989.

Here is a gruesome video of what happened to him. He did recover and was back to practice in like 5 days and played a few minutes in their last game of the season which was a few weeks later.

Warning – Very Graphic – Clint Malarchuk – Throat cut by Skate

Mods, if this was inappropraite, please remove the link and I apologize for posting it.

Here is a good story about Malarchuk:

I went out tonight and had almost the same experience!!!Had one limb (tree) fall nearby on the way to my stand. Once in my stand, I had three more go, one was ten yards away and rather large. Before we went out we noticed the landowners car stopped halfway up the driveway. Large branches had fallen and blocked thier way up so we cut them and cleared the way. What alot of tree damage!! I didnt see any deer, though my buddy saw a smaller ten.

Made it out at 4:30 saw roughly 10 does and fawns and two 8pts (1.5 and 2.5 yr old) lots of action from early on through the evening with the bigger buck doing some chasing. Watched him freshen a scrape in front of my cam. Trying my first a.m. hunt in the morn with a buck decoy.
